Day Trip to Luxor
Overview
Visit the monuments of Luxor on a day's excursion. Take the chance to visit the capital of the Pharaohs and its impressive architectural legacy: the Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon, and Temple of Hatshepsut.
After pick-up from your hotel, drive to Luxor to visit the most famous monuments in all Egypt, including the temple at Karnak. After that, relax over lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor. Then get on board a Felucca (small boat), a type of sailing boat typical in Egypt to cross over the Nile to the City of the Dead (optional). The impressive Colossi of Memnon will greet you there – the the last remnants of the Temple of Amenophis III. Be enthralled by the magnificent architecture of the Valley of the Kings and visit the temple of Hatshepsut, one of the female rulers of Ancient Egypt. After you've had enough time to explore the extensive monuments to your satisfaction, you will be driven back to your hotel.

Our family had an absolutely amazing day exploring Luxor with KC Sunrise Trips, and it exceeded every expectation we had. Travelling with young children can sometimes be a challenge, but this trip was perfectly tailored to our family’s needs — flexible, safe and incredibly enriching.
From the start, Karim, our main guide, was outstanding. His energy, kindness, and ability to make us reassured and relaxed made the day truly remarkable for both us and the kids.
He was incredibly attentive and knew exactly how to keep everyone entertained and comfortable, so much so, he even helped put my 1 year old to sleep!
We also had the pleasure of meeting Hatim, whose deep knowledge of Luxor’s rich heritage — especially at Karnak Temple and Hatshepsut Temple — added another layer of depth to the experience. His English was impeccable and he was also really flexible, changing the itinerary to help keep the kids cooler during the hottest part of the day
The highlight for the whole family was the serene boat ride along the Nile. It was a magical way to unwind after exploring the temples, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that even our youngest loved.
Every part of the trip was seamless, safe, and filled with small thoughtful touches that made a big difference. We can’t thank KC Sunrise Trips enough for creating such a special day for our family.
